Compare Guidde

Stagewright vs Guidde

Guidde turns a workflow you click through into a narrated how-to video and document, and has grown into an "AI Digital Adoption Platform" for training teams. Stagewright records walkthroughs from a script in your repo and re-runs them on every pull request, so a guide that no longer matches the product is caught before merge, either approved as an intended change or filed as a regression. Guidde is the better choice for capturing many processes quickly, across web, desktop and mobile, and it has a broad set of exports and enterprise controls. Per Guidde's public pages as of October 2026, we found no shipped feature that detects when a guide's UI has changed.

What Guidde is, in its own words

Guidde’s headline is “The #1 AI platform to capture knowledge and train teams,” and its pitch is to “Turn any workflow into professional video documentation 11x faster.” It describes itself as an “AI Digital Adoption Platform.” Guides are captured with a browser extension, narrated with AI voices, and shared or exported to a long list of tools. Its “Ask” feature gives “Direct, cited answers from the library you already built.”

How they differ

Guidde makes capturing fast. Stagewright makes keeping it true automatic. A Guidde guide is a capture of the product on the day someone recorded it; when the UI changes, someone records it again. A Stagewright walkthrough is a script that runs against your product on every pull request. If the screens changed on purpose, you approve the new recording and it publishes; if a flow broke, it’s filed with the video before the PR merges.

Where Guidde is better

  • Fast capture by anyone. Support, ops and training staff record by clicking through, with no repo and no script. Stagewright’s non-engineer path is script mode and Propose change in the dashboard, which still starts from a walkthrough.
  • Desktop and mobile. Guidde captures beyond the browser. Stagewright records web apps.
  • Breadth of exports and destinations. PPTX, Word, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Confluence, SharePoint and more.
  • Enterprise controls. SSO, SCIM and SOC 2 Type II. Stagewright has none of these yet.
  • AI answers over your library for end users. Stagewright instead makes help-center articles accurate for the help desk’s own AI to answer from.

Choose Guidde if

  • Many people need to document many processes quickly, including internal tools you don’t build.
  • You need desktop or mobile capture.
  • Your guides change rarely, or re-recording on a schedule is fine.

Choose Stagewright if

  • You ship your own web product often, and guides go stale faster than anyone re-records them.
  • Engineering should catch a broken flow before merge, and see it in the PR.
  • You want certificates and help articles to follow the product, not the date someone last recorded.

Using both

Keep Guidde for internal process documentation and one-off captures, and use Stagewright for the customer-facing walkthroughs of your own product that must change when it does.

FAQ

Does Guidde update guides when the UI changes? Some third-party comparison pages say so. We couldn’t confirm it on guidde.com; Guidde’s own Series B post lists “Freshness Detection” as a plan. If that changes, tell us and we’ll update this page.

Can support staff use Stagewright without the repo? Yes, in the dashboard: script mode edits narration, and Propose change sends an edit for an engineer to approve. They can’t record by clicking through the app yet.
