Pricing

Free to map, free to run in your CI.

Stagewright is in private beta. Free is for trying it on your own product. Paid plans are set up by hand with each team while we learn what's fair, so there are no prices on this page yet.

No account at all

The CLI is on npm. Everything here runs on your machine or in your pipeline, and no recording or result leaves it. The CLI can send anonymous setup milestones, off in CI; DO_NOT_TRACK=1 turns them off.

npx stagewright initA sample walkthrough, stagewright.config and the editor schema
npx stagewright record <file>Record and render a narrated walkthrough on your machine, against localhost
npx stagewright import playwright <spec>Turn a Playwright test into a walkthrough file, without moving the test
npx stagewright ciIn any CI: record the walkthroughs a pull request affects and post the comment and check (pass, regression or flaky, without frames); --out keeps the videos
npx stagewright prompt setupA prompt for your coding agent to set Stagewright up in this repo and record a first walkthrough

What the Free plan includes

With a free account, runs report to Stagewright, so you get the coverage map, history and narration.

MapEvery feature in your repository, lined up with its walkthroughs, help articles and support questions
Draft and recordWalkthroughs drafted from a feature's code, labelled as drafts until a person approves them, and narrated video
Run on your machines and in your CIUnlimited, reported to Stagewright. Never blocked
A first video in the cloud3 runs a month on our runners, and 10 minutes of narration and rendering
DownloadsThe MP4
People and connections1 product, 3 seats, up to 3 integrations

Not on Free: approving a recording as the new baseline, and publishing it to the player and your help center. Runs on your own machines and CI use none of our compute, so they're unlimited on every plan; we count them and look at unusual volumes by hand, and nothing refuses a run because of it. Narration and cloud runs they use from us are counted as usual. Limits as of October 2026.

Paid plans: private beta, talk to us

Paid plans are agreed with each team in the beta; there are no prices yet. Each plan includes everything in the one before it.

Starter
Approving and publishing, PR checks on our runners, PR preview pages, regressions filed with video, embedding the player, a brand kit, and GIF, PDF and screenshot downloads.
Team
Quick clips, animated slides, password, members-only and expiring links, a custom domain, hiding the badge, guidance targeted by role, persona or plan, holdout tests, two-way sync with help centers and issue trackers, Jira, fixes by coding agents, and more languages.
Scale
Custom voices, training and learner records, LMS export (SCORM, xAPI, cmi5), runners you host inside your network, single sign-on and audit log export.

Join the waitlist, or write to support@stagewright.ai, and we'll set you up by hand and agree terms with you directly.

Viewing is never metered

The people who watch your videos and read your articles are never counted toward a bill. No per-viewer, per-view or monthly-active-user pricing: a walkthrough watched ten thousand times costs the same as one watched ten times.

Training records are different: on Scale, named learners with completion records are counted. Watching is still free for everyone.

Tools priced by end users charge you more as your customers succeed. We'd rather price what Stagewright does for you than how many people it reaches.

On every plan, on purpose

  • Runs on your machines and in your CI, unlimited and never blocked (and on runners you host, which come with Scale)
  • Reporting the result to GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps or Bitbucket from your own CI
  • Affected-only runs on pull requests
  • Auto-zoom and focus highlighting, simple slides, annotated screenshots and article text
  • The MP4 download
  • Copy prompt, including the fix prompt on issues
  • Anonymous viewing, never metered
